What does it mean to be SOC 2 certified?
The System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 audit is one the highest recognized standards of information security compliance in the world.
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, the SOC 2 audit allows a third-party auditor to validate a SaaS company’s internal controls with respect to information security.
Everyone at Simplesat worked together to achieve this certification! And we partnered with Johanson Group to review our internal controls – including policies, procedures, and infrastructure regarding data security, as well as our firewall configurations, change management, logical access, backup management, business continuity & disaster recovery, security incident response, and other critical areas of our business.
We passed with flying colors! In fact, Simplesat goes above and beyond the minimum requirements for SOC 2: we’ve integrated our critical infrastructure to monitor compliance to the SOC 2 framework 24/7/354, not just during the audit window.
